Charge for Pennies While You Sleep

The strongest reason to charge at home is the one you feel every week: it costs a fraction of petrol and a fraction of public charging. Plug in when you get home, forget about it, and wake up to a full battery.

Why Home Charging Beats the Alternative

Wake up full, every day

No detours, no waiting. Plug in on the driveway in ten seconds and start every morning with a full battery.

Escape public charging

No queues, no broken units, no five different apps that will not connect. The nearest working charger stops being your problem.

Smart, and future-proof

A 7kW smart charger is done by morning where a three-pin plug never finishes. Set it once and it charges on the cheapest hours, and adds value to your home.

The Right Charger for Your Home

For almost every home the answer is a 7kW smart charger: a full overnight charge with no expensive supply upgrade. Where you add convenience and control is the choices below, and we will recommend the right one for your car and driveway.

Tethered vs untethered

Tethered has the cable permanently attached, ready to plug straight in. Untethered keeps the unit tidy and works with any car and cable, which is more future-proof if you change vehicle.

Smart features worth having

App control and scheduling to the cheapest hours, load balancing so you never trip the house, and solar linking so the car can charge from your own generation. These are where a good install pays for itself.

How It Works

  1. 1

    Free survey or photo quote

Tell us about your driveway and send a photo of your fuse board. Enough to quote most homes without a visit.

  2. 2

    Fixed price, no surprises

We confirm the charger, cable route and any extras, and agree one fixed price before any work begins.

  3. 3

    We notify your network operator

Every 7kW charger is notified to your DNO. We handle that, and any grant paperwork if you qualify.

  4. 4

    Installed, usually in hours

A tidy, dedicated circuit, correct protection, and a clean finish on the wall. Most homes are done the same day.

  5. 5

    Signed off and registered

Compliance certificate, warranty registered, and a walkthrough of the app so you are ready to charge that night.

Certified, Compliant, and Signed Off

A charge point is high-voltage work close to your home and family. A cheap or uncertified install is the most expensive kind, and it can put an insurance payout in question. We do it right the first time.

  • OZEV-approved installer, so any grant is claimed correctly on your behalf
  • Compliant with BS 7671 Section 722, with the correct earthing and protection
  • A compliance certificate on every job, and your warranty registered
  • Directly employed, certified engineers. No subcontractors
Grant handled
for you

Renters, flat owners and landlords can claim a grant through an OZEV-approved installer. If you are eligible we take it straight off your invoice and do the paperwork. We confirm before we quote, and never imply a grant you cannot get.

One Trusted Team for Your Whole Home

Your EV charger, solar panels and battery are one connected system, and your air conditioning is already ours. Fit them together and they cost less to install and work better together.

EV Charger Questions

How much does it cost to charge an electric car at home?

Charging overnight on an EV tariff typically costs around 7p per kWh, so a full charge is roughly £4 to £6, against around £40 at a public rapid charger. Your exact cost depends on your tariff and car.

Will an EV charger work with my fuse board?

Most modern consumer units are fine. Older boards, or ones near full capacity, may need an upgrade or a dedicated circuit added. We check during the survey, and a photo of your fuse board lets us confirm before we quote.

Am I eligible for an EV charger grant?

Grants are available to renters, flat owners and landlords through OZEV-approved installers. Outright homeowners with a driveway are no longer eligible. If you qualify, we handle the paperwork and take the grant straight off your invoice.

How long does the installation take?

A standard 7kW charger near the fuse board is usually fitted in a few hours. Longer cable runs, board upgrades or on-street work take longer, which is why we survey first and quote a fixed price.

Is it safe, and could a bad install affect my insurance?

An uncertified or non-compliant install can be dangerous and can put an insurance payout in question. Every install is OZEV-approved, compliant with BS 7671, signed off and warranty registered.

Which charger should I choose?

For most homes a 7kW smart charger gives a full overnight charge with no supply upgrade. Tethered is convenient, untethered is tidy and future-proof, and smart scheduling charges on the cheapest hours. We recommend the right unit for you.
