Select Air Services is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it and what rights you have under UK data protection law.

This policy applies to information we collect through our website at selectair.co.uk, by telephone, by email, through our quote forms, and in the course of carrying out installations, repairs and servicing at your property.

Quick summary: We collect only what we need to provide our services and respond to enquiries. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for automated decision-making. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

We are the data controller responsible for the personal data you provide to us. We are not currently required to register with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a data controller, but we comply fully with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We may share it only in the following circumstances:

  • Our engineers and installation teams — who need your contact and property details to carry out the work you have requested.
  • Finance providers — if you apply for a finance plan to spread the cost of an installation, we will share relevant data with our finance partner to process your application.
  • Email and CRM platforms — we use third-party software to manage enquiries and communications. These providers process data only on our instructions and under contractual data processing agreements.
  • Website analytics — we use Google Analytics (with IP anonymisation) to understand how visitors use our website. Google may process anonymised technical data on our behalf.
  • Legal and regulatory bodies — where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our staff or customers.

All third parties with whom we share personal data are required to keep it confidential and to process it only for the purposes we specify, in accordance with UK GDPR.

Section 7

International transfers

We primarily process your data within the UK. Where any third-party service provider transfers data outside the UK (for example, US-based cloud or analytics services), they are required to do so only under a UK adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or equivalent standard contractual clauses.

Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC in the United States under Google’s standard contractual clauses approved for UK transfers.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it securely.

Cookies

  • Analytics cookies — we use Google Analytics to collect anonymised information about how visitors use our site (pages visited, time on site, referral source). You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • Rights in relation to automated decision-making — we do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Section 11

Children

Our services are not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data about a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our services or our data practices. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always show when it was most recently revised.

Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify you — for example, by displaying a notice on our website or emailing customers where we hold a current email address.
